Join Teenage Kicks

Teenage Kicks is a specialist independent school supporting young people who benefit from a more personalised and flexible approach to education. We are looking for a committed and engaging Science Teacher who can bring the subject to life and help students build confidence in their understanding of the world around them.

This is an opportunity to teach in a setting where relationships matter, class sizes are small, and you can genuinely see the impact of your work.

Why Join Us?

  • A specialist setting where student engagement and well-being come first

  • Small class sizes, allowing for tailored teaching and stronger relationships

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team

  • Ongoing professional development, including support for ECTs

  • A clear ethos built around Engagement, Progress, and Outcomes

The Role

As a Science Teacher at Teenage Kicks, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and adaptive Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Teach a range of scientific concepts, building understanding across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Differentiate learning to support students with SEND, EHCPs, and behavioural needs

  • Use practical and interactive approaches to develop curiosity and engagement

  • Monitor and assess progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Work closely with the SENDCo, Learning Mentors, and Pastoral Team to support each student holistically

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent)

  • Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4

  • Can adapt their teaching to meet a range of learning needs

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

  • Brings flexibility, resilience, and a calm approach

  • Has a genuine passion for Science and making it accessible to all learners

What This Role Really Is

This isn’t about delivering perfect lessons every time.
It’s about helping students stay curious, ask questions, and realise they can understand things they once thought they couldn’t.

If that’s how you approach teaching, this will likely suit you.
