About Nada International School

Nada International School (NIS) opened its doors in 2002 and has grown steadily since then. At present we have around 450 students from KG - G12. We aim to provide education with the highest educational standards to our multinational community.

In 2022 NIS completed the five-year reaccreditation with COGNIA (formerly Advanc-ED) which is a mark of excellence and quality. We have a highly qualified, multinational faculty who regularly collaborate as a Professional Learning Community to enhance their teaching practices. Teachers participate in external and school hosted CPD sessions throughout the year.

NIS always strives to recruit and retain the best teachers from the international and local market to enhance its standard of quality education. Many of our expatriate and local staff have been with us for a number of years, with some still in post since the school opened in 2002. We hold high expectations for our teaching faculty and hope to develop their skills within a structured, healthy working environment.

Teachers at NIS enjoy small classes sizes, with a maximum of 25 children in each class. In senior grades class sizes are much smaller than this. Additionally, all staff have generous amounts of non-contact time to allow for quality lesson preparation, assessment and feedback.

NIS follows the CIE Primary, Secondary 1 and Secondary 2 curricula, which lead to the internationally acclaimed IGCSE, AS and A - level examinations.  Our CAIE results are outstanding, as is our track record of providing students with the opportunity for university entrance.

Our ever-increasing alumni have gained placed in high-ranking universities, predominantly in fields such as medicine, engineering, pharmacy and dentistry. A large proportions of our small senior cohort receive high level award recognition for their academic achievements. Students regularly win CIE awards for the top IGCSE / AS / A - Level students in the Eastern Province and Region.

Students are the core of NIS. We hold high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement for all student. One of the reasons for this is that the NIS faculty are constantly seeking new ways to engage and motivate children in order to facilitate high levels of student achievement.
