Internationella Engelska Skolan in Kista is seeking a qualified science teacher to join our fantastic working environment from January 2018.
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a highly successful school group in Sweden with students receiving high grades and a diverse and energetic staff. We have around 24, 000 students enrolled in our 34 schools across the country with approximately 2,500 members of staff.
IES provides an international and stimulating environment, where commitment, professionalism and the English language are common denominators. We work in an environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. Our schools are bilingual and, as a Swedish school, we do follow the Swedish National Curriculum, with many subjects, including Science, taught in English whilst incorporating Swedish culture and traditions.
IES Kista has 30 classes and over 900 students. We recruit teachers from all over the world, including Canada, South Africa, Ireland, USA and Australia. At IES Kista, in line with Swedish schools, teachers are contracted to work a 45 hour week, with 10 of those hours being designated as ‘trust time’, to be used as and where the teacher wishes. Contact time is 18 hours of teaching a week. Benefits to teachers include provision of a mobile phone, chromebook and use of a staff gym.
More about the company and its schools can be found at www.engelska.se
As a growing school we are interested in applications from teachers of all subjects, not only science. A later start date will be considered for outstanding candidates.
To apply, please email your C.V. and a cover letter, describing why you are interested in working in Sweden, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 22nd October 2017.
Suitable candidates will be contacted for initial interview via video/phone call.
Closing Date: 22nd October
Job Start Date: 8th January
