Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher at Moon Hall School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate dyslexic learners in the fascinating world of science. From Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that ignite curiosity and promote deep understanding. Your role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic science lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles of dyslexic students.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Incorporating multi-sensory teaching techniques and innovative resources to enhance student comprehension and retention.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning across the curriculum.
  • Providing regular feedback and assessment to monitor student progress and identify areas for further support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching science to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) or dyslexia-specific setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting dyslexic learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability, creativity, and a willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of dyslexic students.
