Science Teacher

Recruitment Allowance: Extra £250 per calendar month until 31 August 2025.

Outwood Grange Academy is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner with a real passion for Science. We offer an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team and you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’. Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals. A £250 per month (until 31 August 2025) recruitment allowance is included for exceptional candidates. 

The department delivers courses across all Key Stages 3-5, where we have a thriving post 16 provision delivering all science A Levels and Applied Science Btec Level 3. To do this we have 18 specialist teachers, 4 science technicians and 3 one-to-one science tutors. The department is a combination of experienced staff and more recent entrants to the profession. Teaching takes place in the department’s 15 labs, 1 ICT suite and 2 classrooms. Every lab and classroom has a visualiser and these are used extensively by the team. All classrooms also have interactive whiteboards.

This is a permanent Outwood Grange Academy post. Subject to curriculum demand, the successful applicant may be required to work for a short time in a neighbouring Outwood Academy until a suitable vacancy arises at Outwood Grange Academy.
