The Bishop of Winchester Academy is an oversubscribed and thriving Church of England School situated in a beautiful seaside resort with seven miles of award winning golden sands on our doorstep, on the edge of the Jurassic coast with excellent transport links to London and the rest of the UK. 

We are looking to appoint a passionate, dynamic, proactive and innovative individual to help provide a first class resourcing service and support our busy science faculty. You will have excellent subject knowledge and will have experience of preparing and delivering practical apparatus to support our teaching team in delivering outstanding outcomes in Science. 

The successful candidate will be joining an Academy where all Academy staff are driven by the mantra “high expectations - no excuses” and are determined, committed and focused on inspiring students to succeed. The Academy offers free onsite parking, a brand new building with 21st century facilities including the installation of two brand new labs in September 2018. We offer opportunities for internal progression and excellent professional development.

The successful candidate will also be an excellent team player, good communicator and dedicated to raising the achievement of our students.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy

The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.

The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
