Science Technician Apprentice – Level 3 Full-time
We are seeking to appoint an apprentice Science Technician to join our experienced Senior Science Technician. At our school, Science Technicians support the teaching of Science through collating, preparing and delivery of equipment and chemicals. They also perform a wide variety of tasks relating to laboratory/prep room management, including maintenance of equipment, stock control, H&S checks and data entry. There may also be occasions when the technicians provide support in lessons, working directly with teachers and students. The role can be physically demanding with “fetching and carrying” forming a significant part of daily tasks.
This is a highly rewarding position and the ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in developing their scientific skills as well as a broader interest in the provision of high quality science education. Your training and work experience will be to meet the requirements of Level 3 framework over 18-24 months.
