We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an Apprentice Science Technician on a Term Time only basis to join our team at Vale of York Academy. 

This role will enable you to work towards gaining a Level 3 qualification as a Laboratory Technician. You will work under the supervision and direction of teachers to support learning by providing technical assistance, through the coordination, preparation and maintenance of teaching areas and equipment for students. This will include assisting to prepare resources, materials and equipment for science lessons as directed.

20% of your working week will be dedicated to working towards your apprenticeship qualification which will be supported by our external training provider.

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week (20% of this will be dedicated to working towards your apprenticeship qualification) term time only

Position Type: Fixed term in line with apprenticeship course requirements
