Part-time (working 19.5 hours per week for 40 weeks per academic year. You will be paid extra weeks to reflect holiday entitlement of 5 weeks plus 1.6 weeks’ bank holiday entitlement. This salary is divided into equally monthly payments and paid over the whole year until the end of August. £15,922 per annum is the full time equivalent salary, which would be for working 37 hours per week for 52.143 weeks per year)

We have undergone a multi million pound campus development programme including significant investment in state of the art teaching and learning facilities, sports facilities, a commercially run farm and an international standard equestrian facility at our campus near Beverley in East Yorkshire.

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to join our busy team with a good level of numeracy and literacy.  Educated to Science A-Level is desirable however not essential. You will be working at our Lincolnshire campus, demonstrating safe chemical handling, preparing and demonstrating biology practical investigations as well as safely disposing materials and chemicals. You will be supporting and working alongside teaching staff and both Further and Higher Education students assisting them in the safe handling of science equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for science, high levels of attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Good chemistry/biology knowledge and working knowledge of COSHH assessments are essential. Experience within a school or college laboratory is an advantage although not essential. There may be a requirement to be flexible with working hours
