Laisterdyke Leadership Academy, Bradford is a new 11-18 Academy which opened in April 2016. It is part of a successful family of schools, run by the Star Academies.    
Our mission is to create an outstanding organisation that inspires learners with excellence in academic achievement, personal development and community service. 


We are looking to appoint a Science Technician at this formative and exciting time in the school’s life. 


You will:

  • Have 5 A*-C GCSE including English and Maths
  • Prepare and remove materials and equipment used in lessons, in line with departmental priorities
  • Organise prep room and distribution of resources to classrooms and laboratories
  • Work alongside the Director of Science, monitor and manage stock within an agreed budget, catalogue resources and undertake audits as required. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of chemicals, resources and equipment and to prepare orders for restocking and new equipment
  • have the ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately, especially when under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines
  • have a strong commitment to the personal, spiritual, social and health development of young people
