Required as soon as possible, we are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a highly successful team worker within the team, the post involves the preparation of practical scientific activities, maintenance of scientific apparatus and contributing to the upkeep and organisation of resources. As well as having an interest in science, the successful candidate will be well-organised with the ability to prioritise their workload and a can-do approach. Previous experience in a laboratory and/or educational context is desirable. 


The post is for 22.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks). Salary Scale 3, point 5 -6 (£19,312 - £19,698 FTE) Normal working hours are 8.00am to 4pm with 1/2hr unpaid break each day. Hours are negotiable dependant on school timetable and availability of the most suitable candidate.

We would welcome applications from teachers that could also contribute to teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and/or 4.


There is some flexibility as to total hours and when those hours can be worked, to suit the right candidate.  The job is interesting and varied and involves supporting the science teaching staff by preparing and maintaining equipment for practical science lessons.

Linton Village College is an oversubscribed 11-16 academy situated in Linton, South Cambridgeshire. The College is a high-achieving comprehensive school at the heart of its local community. It has over 830 students on roll.

History

Opened in 1937 as the second of Cambridgeshire’s Village Colleges, the school is still true to Henry Morris’ founding vision for cradle to grave learning. The College operates a community sports centre and adult education provision as well as childcare settings.

In 2020, Linton Village College joined Anglian Learning, a local Trust of like-minded schools committed to offering an ambitious, inspiring and inclusive learning experience.
