Salary range £16,123 to £17,419 p.a. (FTE based on 37 hours pw. Term-Time only + Training Days)

Are you Mad about Science? Curious about our place in the Universe? Do you want to be part of an innovative team working with fantastic young people, then this could be the job for you! We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced Technician to join our hard-working Science Faculty. Working under the guidance of the Team Leader Technician you will provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the faculty, predominantly in Chemistry, but also across the wider science curriculum. Experience of working in a laboratory setting and/or in an educational setting would be a distinct advantage. A practical application or specialism in Chemistry would be desirable, together with general knowledge of all 3 sciences - although full training and support will be given for the role.

Harrogate Grammar School is an ambitious, high achieving, 11-18 mixed comprehensive Academy with the full ability range of students. The Science Faculty are incredibly proud of the results achieved in recent years and also the large numbers of students who study Science at A-level and beyond. 96.4% of students achieved a level 5 at KS3 in 2017 and 81.3% achieved a level 6. In GCSE, A*-C Chemistry % was 92.6%, At A-level % A*-B was 78.6% in Chemistry.
