Richard Huish College is an Outstanding (June 2022) Sixth Form College and has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and flexible Science Technician to work within our Science Area. Your responsibilities will include development of experimental work, the provision of a wide range of technical support services in all aspects of the science curriculum (A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics, BTEC Applied Science, and GCSE Science) whilst ensuring the working environment is clean, well maintained and above all safe. Technical experience in a Chemistry Laboratory and at least a level 3 qualification in Chemistry would be advantageous.

·        Salary: SP7-10 £21,394-£23,367 FTE (Actual salary £18,627-£20,345) depending on experience

·        Hours: 37 hrs per week, term time only plus (39 weeks)

·        Start Date: ASAP

Richard Huish College is a Sixth Form College situated in Taunton, the County town of Somerset. Huish prides itself on its academic excellence and strong reputation across Somerset and the Southwest, it is more than a Sixth Form College, it is a place where students can expand their horizons and develop their futures. Huish is also one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in the country, with strong outcomes and a long history of ‘adding value’ to students.
