Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is a highly successful college located in the Universities area of Leeds. The College is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is always oversubscribed.

At Notre Dame there are four Science departments each with a Head of Department: Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Science at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for the last three years. As Science Technician you will provide high level technical support in the laboratories and preparatory rooms, primarily in the Chemistry department, with flexibility to work across each Science department, to ensure the continued highly effective delivery of courses across the Science curriculum, as directed by the teaching staff.

Each department has a friendly and professional atmosphere within the department and a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. Within the department there is a wealth of experience and professional knowledge and an encouragement to undertake CPD.

Each department has made a major contribution to the academic standing of the College, both locally and nationally. We have been particularly successful this year in terms of the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge with many students achieving the Bronze, Silver or Gold award
