This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Macclesfield’s leading secondary schools and make a significant contribution to the Science Team.    Under the supervision of the senior technician, coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the department.

Commencement date: January 2021

Hours of Work: 37 per week, 7.30am –  3.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and  7.30am to 3.00pm on Thursdays, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Weeks per Year: 39 weeks per year (term time; plus 5 inset days).

Salary: Grade 4: £15,617-£16,597 per annum (£18,181-£19,321 FTE)

Pension: Local Government contributory scheme
