If you have an interest in science and want to support young people in their learning then this could be the job for you. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and adaptable, committed to helping students by developing, preparing and maintaining facilities, equipment and materials within the Science department.


You will provide practical and technical support to teachers delivering the Science curriculum, preparing and maintaining resources to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students. You will provide advice and guidance, including ensuring that COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times. 


This an ideal role for someone with an interest in science who is looking for a rewarding job where every day is different. This role would give you practical experience working with both students and teachers in a close-knit and friendly department. Don’t worry if your scientific knowledge isn’t up to scratch, we provide training within the Trust to enable you to develop as a Science Technician and perform the role to a high standard.

The students absolutely love their practical science lessons, it’s really rewarding knowing you are helping their understanding. There is also a wider community of technicians available for advice, plenty of role related training available and always the support and encouragement of the teaching staff – they won’t let you fail.’

The salary for this role is £16,356 - £19,939 pa pro rata (£18,933 - £23,080 pa. FTE), working 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 teacher training days. The hours of work are 8.00 – 4.00 Monday to Thursday, and 8.00 – 3.30 on Friday.


This is an exciting time to join Foxford as we became part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust in October 2018. The Trust specialises in leadership and was founded in February 2013, on the success of the Caludon Castle Teaching School.

Headteacher - Alison Gallagher

Foxford Community School joined the Castle Phoenix Trust in October 2018, who are committed to supporting the vision and values of the new headteacher. Foxford is a co-educational maintained secondary school situated in Longford, Coventry. The school is for students aged 11-18 and features a sixth form with capacity for 200 students.

The new headteacher started at Foxford in October 2020 including new recruits to her leadership team. They are passionate about ensuring all students have a good education.
