The school is looking to appoint a Science Technician for September 2016. This is a term time post.

The purpose of the position is to provide full departmental and classroom technical and administrative support across all disciplines in the Science Department and to maintain all resources and order stocks as required.

Person Specification

  • Good communication, organisational and prioritising skills are essential
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and informed to support Science delivery in the classroom
  • A high level of ICT and Word Processing skills
  • The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Well organised and capable of working on their own initiative
  • Ability to monitor and prioritise work in a calm, effective and efficient manner
  • Ability to take the initiative in preparing resources for the department
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Enthusiasm for working as a team
  • Embraces the ethos of the school
  • Willingness to attend school on special occasions and events outside of normal working hours

A short break may be taken during the morning working flexibly around the needs of the department. Lunch and light refreshments will be available free of charge during working hours.
