Just 30 minutes by train from Central London, The Highcrest Academy is the first All Ability Academy in the county of Buckinghamshire. It is culturally diverse and a vibrant school making it a fantastic place to work. We have some students who will need support and yet we also featured in the national Ofsted report (2016) for providing challenge to the most able.
There are approximately 950 students on roll, which includes the Sixth Form. A new building programme, just completed, comprises a brand new Sixth Form Centre, sports facilities including a gym and a new restaurant and coffee shop for both students and staff.
You will join our successful, forward thinking Science department which consists of nine teaching staff and other technicians. Your responsibilities will include preparation of materials and equipment for practical lessons, organisation and ordering of materials, together with admin and general maintenance work. Health and Safety training will be provided. Previous experience of working in school science labs or related area such as biology would be an advantage but is not essential. A Job-share will be considered.
