Are you a Technician with experience working in a Science-related industry or within an education environment, and are seeking development in your career?  If so, we have the ideal opportunity for you.  Wilmington Academy are looking to appoint a suitably experienced Science Technician to join a well-motivated and successful team within the Science Learning Area, ideal for someone looking for a term-time position with plenty of scope for development.  We require applicants to have a minimum qualification of an A Level in Science or equivalent, and/or appropriate industry experience.  The Science Department at Wilmington Academy is highly successful, experienced and collaborative in their approach to work - a fantastic environment for a more junior Technician through to a highly experienced Technician keen to be part of a fantastic team.  

The working basis offered is 37 hours per week, Term Time plus one additional week of inset.  The salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's experience, therefore the actual salary per annum will be between £17,315 - £18,995 based on the term time working pattern (full-time equivalent £20,519 - £22,510).  Please consult the Job Description  for further information regarding the duties and responsibilities.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:  As of 1st January 2019, our Trust is comprised of 23 geographically development phase, due to open in September 2020.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school. organised academies (11 secondaries, 11 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open in September 2020.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
