36 hours per week – 43 weeks per year
Kirkby High school is seeking a science technician. The post holder will be responsible for working within the faculty that teaches Science to students aged 11-16,
Your duties will include preparing materials and apparatus when required for demonstrations and practical work, for a team of up to 8 science staff, working closely with the Senior Technician organising the running of the prep room. An interest in education and working with young people is of paramount importance to this role.
Whilst relevant experience or skills will be an advantage the ability to work as part of a team and have good numeracy and literacy skills is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake first aid training.
GCSE Grade C qualification in English, Maths and Science or equivalent are essential.
