Science Technician (Physics Specialism) 

Key responsibilities for the role include:

Working closely with a team of experienced technicians and teachers, you will play a key role in preparing and maintaining equipment and resources for practical lessons, with a focus on A Level and GCSE Physics. You will help ensure our students benefit from engaging and safe hands-on scientific experiences, supporting both staff and students in achieving the very highest standards.

The successful candidate will:

Have a strong background in Physics or a related discipline, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting science education.

About Wallington High School for Girls

Wallington High School for Girls is a secondary grammar school with a sixth form located in Sutton, Greater London. Since September 2015, Wallington High School for Girls has been part of the Nonsuch and Wallington Education Trust.

Wallington High School for Girls has established transport links and is accessible via the nearby Wallington rail station. The school is twinned with Wallington County Grammar School for Boys, located 1.5 miles away. Wallington High was founded in 1888. A time capsule was buried in the grounds in a 125th anniversary celebration in 2013.

"Pupils at this school are looked after with the utmost care by adults. They feel safe, settled and happy. Their behaviour is exceptional. Pupils respect each other and treat their peers in a friendly and courteous manner. In lessons they are focused and collaborative. They are proud of the friendly atmosphere between them and say that they ‘build each other up’ to celebrate successes. The school has high ambitions for its pupils, and staff go out of their way to ensure that pupils are able to reach these. The result is a vibrant and diverse community where pupils are proud to be hard working."
