Job overview
Rugby School is looking to appoint a Chemistry Technician on a temporary basis, initially 6 months but may be extended. We require an experienced Chemistry technician for an exceptional school in Rugby. Applicants should be educated to at least A Level in the sciences (desirable), and have a developed practical chemistry knowledge in a school environment.
To provide high quality technical support to the Chemistry departments as well as different areas in the Science faculty when necessary. To manage the resources and equipment in relation to practical lessons.
To assist with the effective running of the Chemistry Department’s technical resources, there must be frequent consultation with the Senior Chemistry technician, Technical Manager, and all chemistry teaching staff.
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
Rugby School is an independent boarding school of approximately 800 pupils and 100 full-time members of the teaching staff. Entry for most boys and girls is at 13, chiefly from preparatory schools via the Common Entrance or Scholarship Examination.
