 Loreto Grammar School is an 11-18 Roman Catholic Grammar School for Girls with Academy status located in Altrincham, in the Borough of Trafford. It is a thriving, successful and over-subscribed school, judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in September 2022 and by the Diocese of Shrewsbury. We are proud to have been named as the North West Secondary School of the Year 2025. Loreto is a happy place to work.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Science Technician, to join our Science Department. The appointed candidate will support the delivery of a varied and exciting Science curriculum within the school. The successful candidate will join the established and supportive Loreto community and be expected to commit to the ethos and values of the school. A science qualification of at least A Level standard is required.

Loreto Grammar School is a selective Roman Catholic girls' secondary with sixth form, situated in Altrincham, Cheshire. It is supported by a single-academy trust, the Loreto Grammar School Trust, and is part of a network of 120 Loreto schools across the world, with strong links to international schools in countries such as India, Australia and Germany. It provides a total of 1,040 places for students aged 11-18.

The school was founded in 1909 by the Sisters of Loreto, and assumed academy status in August 2012.
