Job overview
We are seeking a part time Science Technician to join our strong Science Department. The successful candidate will be supported by the Senior Science Technician and the Head of Science. The department consists of 11 teaching staff and 2 technicians in newly refurbished science labs. Science is hugely popular at KS5 across all three disciplines with nearly 200 pupils taking these subjects at AS/A2 level. Many pupils go on to read science subjects at university level. The appointed candidate will teach KS3 - KS5 and across all ability ranges in a very supportive environment.
Ernest Bevin College is an 11-19 boys’ school with 1250 on roll. We have a mixed sixth form of 300 students based in state of the art buildings with good transport links.
We are an Elite Sports College competing at national and international level in a range of sports. We have full time coaches for volleyball, judo and table tennis and fantastic sports facilities including a swimming pool and fitness studio. These facilities are extensively used by students and staff free of charge.
We have a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and the Royal Marines working with us on site, and we have recently formed a Cricket Academy in partnership with Twenty20 Community Cricket.
