Science Tutor

Ipswich Tuition Centre, an associate of UK Tuition, is a leading education provider based in the United Kingdom, dedicated to supporting students in achieving their academic goals through personalised and effective tutoring. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Tutor to join our team and help students excel in their science studies.

This role would suit retired teachers, those on maternity leave or a temporary break from school based teaching, and those in full time employment looking to earn additional income.

All Applicants must be able to commute to central Ipswich at least once weekly, therefore the roles is recommended for those already living in the Greater Ipswich area.

Position: Science Tutor
Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tuition sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Prepare lesson plans that align with the UK curriculum for various science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Motivate and encourage students to develop confidence in their scientific understanding

- Exclusively in-person / face-to-face in our centre

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience tutoring or teaching science subjects
- Strong knowledge of the UK science curriculum at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to adapt teaching methods according to different learning styles
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
