We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking and highly skilled teacher to join our Science department within a highly successful and supportive non-selective 11-18 Academy. We are celebrating our best ever A level and GCSE results which now place us as one of the top performing schools in East Sussex and in the top 3% of schools nationally. We are also one of approximately 65 schools nationwide that has been selected to become a National Teaching School in the latest recruitment round, taking a leading role in recruiting and training new entrants to the profession.
Working with our Head of Science and Engineering to help drive the department forward, we will look to you to be flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with strong organisational skills, and ready to play a significant role as a member of our Science Team.
You must be:
- an outstanding practitioner with a proven record of raising attainment for students;
- a confident and competent user of data, able to empower others in its use to support outstanding pedagogy;
- able to inspire and challenge every student enabling them to make excellent progress;
- able to communicate and enthuse staff and implement ideas.
We are a split site, rural, mixed 11-18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 1,300 students, including over 250 students in our Sixth Form. Situated centrally in Crowborough, on the outskirts of the Ashdown Forest - an area of outstanding natural beauty - we are also conveniently located close to Tunbridge Wells and the south coast.
