We are looking to recruit an inspirational and innovative leader in English who can show great initiative, to play an active role in our continued drive to create outstanding life chances for our students.

As Second in English, you will be an inspiring leader with the energy and creativity to motivate a team, lead by example and challenge students to achieve the best possible outcomes.  The department is determined to become a nationally recognised centre of excellence within this subject and we are looking for a practitioner with the drive to take on this challenge and take an already successful department to the next level. 

The successful candidate will:

· be an excellent classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent outcomes

· be a passionate and innovative advocate for English language and literature 

· be totally committed to improving the life chances of young people

· have a vision of excellence for teaching and learning in English

· have a strong curriculum knowledge, with experience of adaptive teaching based on examinations
