Second in Design Technology
MPS/UPS +TLR 2b
Start date: Flexible either April or September 2017
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, inspirational and well qualified teacher of Technology to join a school internationally acclaimed for the quality of its innovative practice.
Matthew Moss High School is the only UK school appearing in the Innovation Units influential publication “10 schools for the 21st Century” and one of only five UK schools to be designated by the Ashoka organisation as a Changemaker school.
The school receives visitors from the UK, Scandinavia, India and Australia who come to learn and share practice and we have strong links with the University of Bristol.
The culture of the school is one of high standards achieved within a context of positive, respectful and friendly relationships between all members of the community. Thoughtful, effective and satisfying hard work goes hand in hand with enjoyment and having fun at Matthew Moss.
Learning is extremely well-resourced within a very high quality environment, the site having been extensively remodeled during recent years. ICT provision, especially with regard to the employment of hand-held devices for both learners and staff, is particularly impressive. The 4D immersive learning space within the school remains the largest installation of such technology in the UK.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with the ability to lead a motivated team to challenge and engage learners through a passion for Design Technology. You will be visionary in your approach to delivering a Design Technology Curriculum which compliments our schools ethos. If you would like the opportunity to work in a school where learning beyond the classroom is paramount and you have the vision and drive to join our successful team, we would like to hear from you.
