Corvus Learning Trust wishes to appoint a Secondary School Development Lead for Key Stages 3, 4 and Post 16. We are looking to work with a senior school leader or an education consultant with recent high-level experience of leading secondary school development. The Trust has four schools within the secondary phase, including a SEN school. The post holder will report to the Trust’s Director of Education and will lead on curriculum development, teaching and learning and school outcomes, working closely with schools to provide challenge and support.

The post holder will be required to develop a framework for secondary school improvement, working alongside Headteachers, members of SLTs and Heads of Departments. The aim is to raise standards through excellent teaching, agreed intervention strategies and the production of resources whilst promoting high expectations and standards. As the Trust grows, this position will be responsible for leading the Secondary Development Team through building positive relationships and linking best practice in our schools to improve outcomes for all students.

Areas of responsibility will include: bringing together relevant groups from across our schools to share best practice, ensure latest research (including OFSTED) is considered, and support schools to ensure they have robust plans in place to raise standards. Please see the job description for full details.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a proven record of leadership and management within quality of education across their schools. Strong evidence of excellent organisation, interpersonal, communication and time management skills will also be required.

We are looking for a purposeful, self-motivated and committed individual who wants to join and enhance our team. We offer a highly supportive working environment where we value all our employees encouraging and supporting their personal development.

Corvus is a growing Trust and currently has seven schools supporting students from Infants through to Secondary, within the local area. All of our Trust schools are successful and thriving, where students are happy, safe, engaged in their learning and motivated. The Trust schools enjoy shared values and a common ethos and vision to support and guide children throughout their education. Our teamwork enables collaboration whilst retaining our individuality, giving every young person in our care the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

This post is based in the Trust office in Crowthorne which is located approximately 3 miles from Wokingham and Camberley and 12 miles from Reading. It enjoys excellent links to surrounding villages, towns and cities via the M3, M4 A329M, and local rail networks.

If you feel you have the experience, qualities and passion to join our committed, friendly and professional team we would be delighted to hear from you.

To apply for this post please complete the online application form via TES.

Closing Date: Friday 3 May 2024

Please note that all applications will be considered upon receipt. We reserve the right to close the advert early should the right candidate apply.

Corvus Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all members of staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for all posts.
