The opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Secondary School Deputy Head – Academic.

Working collaboratively with other members of the Secondary School Leadership Group, you will develop a dynamic and leading international school that is committed to High Performance Learning, which leads to academic excellence combined with strong student wellbeing.

As a leader of teams, you will further foster a culture that is centred around commitment, enthusiasm and cooperation whilst ensuring the core values of DC permeate all aspects of life at Doha College Secondary. You will lead the academic life of the school as well as contribute to the school’s ongoing strategic development as a member of the Secondary Leadership Group.

About you

Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills should be accompanied by relevant leadership experience and the ability and commitment to deliver excellence in all aspects of our pastoral provision. You will have high expectations of standards, create a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning and promote the tenets of High Performance Learning.

You will demonstrate leadership qualities of the highest order to ensure students are supported to achieve at the optimum level.

Final-stage interviews and assessment: w/c 22 January 2023. It is assumed that candidates selected for the final stage of selection should be able to travel to Qatar for this purpose; candidates with limitations on their travel should highlight these earlier in the process

The longlisting process may commence before the application deadline, and so early applications are encouraged.

We will collect references for candidates invited to attend the final-round interviews. No referees will be contacted until we have received your express permission to do so.
