St. George’s School seeks a well-qualified professional to teach Economics & Business in our flourishing secondary department, to begin August, 2020.
Serving the international community in Cologne for almost 30 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of over 850 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing more than 40 nationalities.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Economics & Business Teacher to work in our well-established Humanities department.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential. We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching that will inspire our pupils.
The secondary department covers the age range 11-18 and incorporates the curricula for Key Stage 3, IGCSE and IB Diploma. Familiarity with the British education system is therefore a prerequisite. Experience of IB teaching is preferred, but not required.
The Humanities Faculty promotes an enthusiasm for the study of the human activity and an awareness of the importance of analysis, interpretation and evaluation. Pupils come from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, and we aim to build upon diversity to explore different ways of interpreting the world.
Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.
