Are you passionate about educating young minds and shaping the future? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team at The British School of Costa Daurada. As a Secondary English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students in developing strong language and literary skills while fostering a love for the English language.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons to secondary school students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum standards.
  • Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills among students.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes a love for reading and writing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • PGCE in Secondary English or relevant subject area.
  • Proven experience teaching English to secondary school students will be looked upon favourably although we also welcome recently qualified applicants.
  • In-depth knowledge of the English language, grammar, literature, and composition.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and cater to individual student needs.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and the ability to integrate it into classes to increase engagement.
  • Passion for teaching and dedication to student emotional and educational success

Hours: 

- The position is available as both part-time and full-time, depending on the candidate's preference and availability. Please indicate your desired work hours (part-time or full-time) in your application.
