IB MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher (August 2023)

For August 2023 we are looking for an MYP Individuals and Societies teacher. The teacher will be part of the Individuals and Societies Faculty (Economics, Geography, History, Psychology and Environmental Systems) in Upper School, teaching students aged 11-18. The successful candidate will be involved in the planning, development and teaching of a concept-driven, integrated MYP Humanities course. There may also be the opportunity to teach IB Diploma in a specialist subject for the right candidate. The person will play an important role in the development of the Individuals and Societies faculty, collaborating to support the development and delivery of the MYP INSO curriculum. 

Interested candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

Post Profile

• Hold a teaching degree in a Humanities subject;
• Familiarity with best practices for teaching and learning and constructivist, conceptually-driven approaches to curriculum.
• Although not absolutely necessary for this post, it is an advantage to have prior training in the IB MYP program, 
• Prior experience of at least two years working with adolescent learners.  Prior MYP teaching experience is ideal but not strictly required.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills;
• A growth mind-set and positive drive. 

Contract

• An initial two-year contract with flights to and from country of residence for appointee and close family;
