Secondary Humanities Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Secondary Humanities Teacher to join our team. Applicants must be fluent English speakers and be able to work efficiently as part of a team. The successful applicant will be delivering the humanities curriculum to Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary and Advanced Level following the National Curriculum for England and the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE programmes. 

The successful candidate must have experience in preparing learners for success in Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level examinations. He/She may also be allocated Form Tutor duties and so excellent communication and organisations skills are important. 

All applicants must be able to attend in-person interviews and a demonstration session session(s). 

For this position we will require a minimum of:

• An undergraduate degree in a related field.
• A PGCE or PGDE (QTS preferable but not required).
• At least two years' experience as a Secondary Subject-Specialist Teacher in a British school, teaching humanities following the National Curriculum for England. 
• Experience in preparing learners for success at IGCSE Geography. Experience in preparing learners for success at IGCSE History and/or Global Perspectives is favourable. 
• Experience in working with learners for whom English is a second or additional language is favourable. 
• Excellent communication, organisation, interpersonal and time-management skills. 
• Availability to start on the 27th of August 2019 and commitment for at least one academic year.
