Avondale College, set in a beautiful, recently re-built state of the art campus in central West Auckland is a multicultural 21st Century state co-ed high school with an established reputation for excellence in teaching and learning.
We invite trained and qualified high school teachers considering working in NZ to visit the Avondale College website www.avcol.school.nz. The development of a scholarship programme including links to tertiary study, in tandem with delivery of the CAIE (Cambridge International Curriculum) is building high levels of academic achievement, resulting in increasing numbers of our students attending university level study.
The person we are looking for is:
- A subject specialist mathematics teacher and a quality person who can achieve excellent results and spark an enthusiasm for mathematics among their students at all levels, years 9-13, including scholarship.
- A team player who will be a positive member of a large vibrant maths department
- A diligent, hardworking, and effective teacher
- Someone willing to play a full part in the co-curricular life of the school
Remuneration:
Depending on qualifications and experience the annual salary will be between $51,358 and $90,000 (before tax) as outlined in the NZ secondary teachers contract and a one-off NZ Ministry of Education (IRG) International Relocation Grant of up to NZ$10,000 towards expenses is also currently available (T&Cs apply).
Start date:
The post commences Term 1 (28 January) 2023 but start dates for this position are negotiable subject to agreement.
