The Role

We are seeking an outstanding Secondary Music  teacher to join the Secondary School in August 2022. Candidates need to be enthusiastic about teaching their subject to students in a highly inclusive school setting. We are looking for someone who is extremely passionate about international education, creative in their thinking and a lifelong learning. What do we look for?  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a PGCE/QTS or  equivalent  
• A high-quality degree in Music  
• Experience of teaching students Grades 6 to 10 
• Experience of teaching higher diploma level students Grades 11 to 12  
• Experience of teaching the IB programmes would be an advantage, as would experience of working in Dubai.  
• A demonstrable alignment with the ethos of the IB and a genuine commitment to international-mindedness   
• An ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results     
• A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care        
• A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life        
• The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment   
• Experience of using effective differentiation and assessment techniques
