Vision for Education is an approved Tuition Partner for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). We are looking to recruit qualified secondary subject specialist teachers to work as Tutors, providing 1:1 and small group tuition sessions, both face-to-face and online via our Online Tuition Service platform, for pupils whose education has been most affected by school closures during the pandemic.

The role:  We are looking for qualified Secondary subject specialist teachers to deliver tuition to KS3 and KS4 pupils on behalf of Secondary Schools across Greater Manchester.  The hours are variable, our largest demand is between 3pm and 4pm Monday through Thursday at present, however, hours are available during the school day.

The Tutor will be required to plan and deliver sessions.  The school will provide the Tutor with information about the students participating in each group, their current attainment levels, what needs to be covered during the sessions, and the expected outcomes for each tuition block.

As part of this role, Tutors will be required to provide weekly student feedback to the school, covering areas such as attendance, engagement, and progress. On completion of the tuition block, the tutor, pupil(s), and school will also complete an evaluation to help assess the impact of the tuition.

Requirements: Vision for Education is an approved Tuition Partner for the National Tuition Programme (NTP). As a Tuition Partner, all Tutors for the NTP must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and be a secondary specialist

Be able to attend 2 x 45-minute NTP induction webinars, which will provide Tutors with an overview of the programme, successful tuition strategies, a demonstration of the online tuition platform, and essential information about the feedback process.

Have completed child protection, safeguarding, and GDPR courses within the last 12 months before commencing any tutoring sessions. We can provide tutors with free access to these training courses if required.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
