About the Role 

We are seeking a talented Secondary School PE Teacher for Term 2 2024. Commencing 15 April, this is a full-time short-term contract for Term 2 to cover a staff member who will be on leave. 


Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice. The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.


Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications and experience;
  • Hold or be able to obtain Queensland College of Teachers Registration;
  • Be able to sign and abide by the College’s Statement of Faith;
  • Be able to abide by the Staff Code of Conduct at all times;
  • Have the ability to work with all members of the College community (teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, students, and visitors) both individually and as a member of a department team;
  • Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and be seeking a role where they can utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the College community;
  • Be legally permitted to work in Australia (sponsorship is not available).
