We seek to appoint a Teacher Of Physics (The ability to teach Mathematics would be an advantage) with effect 1 August 2021.

1. Requirements:

• Be up to date with the Cambridge KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level Science curriculum and assessment standards.

• At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience.  

• The ability to teach Mathematics to IGCSE level would be an advantage.

• Additional qualifications are relevant to the role.

• Registration with a Teachers’ Accreditation / Registration Body.

• Be a dynamic, driven person with a desire for educational excellence.

• Be willing to be part of a successful team at a school with a well-established academic record.

• Have a sense of humor.

• Should the successful candidate possess the requisite experience there is the immediate possibility to be appointed to the position of Head of Science


2. Qualifications:

• BEd (QTS), /PGCE or equivalent

• For non-Zambian applicant’s qualifications will need to be certified and evaluated by the Examinations Council of Zambia and Zambia Qualifications Authority.

• Registration with a Teachers’ Accreditation / Registration Body.

• Demonstrate excellent subject and/or specialist knowledge.

• Have a full understanding of connections and progressions in the subject and use this in their teaching to ensure pupils make good progress. 

• Understand ICT in the teaching of their subject or specialism(s).

LICS, (Lusaka International Community School), is a dynamic international teaching and learning Pre-K through to A Level School. As a CIE school (Cambridge Assessment International Education), we offer Checkpoint at Year 6 & 9, IGCSE, AS and AL assessments.
