The British International School of Stockholm seeks an exceptional, creative, well-qualified and experienced teacher of Physics to join a successful department, during a very exciting phase of its development. This opportunity has arisen to accommodate continued expansion of numbers and of age groups.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to teaching, have experience of teaching Physics to IBDP or A Level standard, and have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the department. Candidates should also be willing to teach some chemistry and biology, preferably up to IGCSE standard.

BISS uses objectives from Cambridge Secondary and English National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 science and Cambridge IGCSE courses for Years 10 and 11. We are aiming to begin the IB Diploma from August 2019.

Situated in Djursholm, a beautiful suburb of Stockholm, and enjoying an excellent reputation, BISS is a vibrant and highly successful school of over 450 children from 40 different countries. Meeting internationally recognised standards of excellence, the school is an accredited member of COBIS (the Council of British International Schools) and receive an excellent recent BSO inspection report.

Applicants must be a fully qualified teacher (UK BEd or PGCE with relevant degree, or hold the equivalent recognised teaching qualifications from other countries), with a track record of improving and having a positive impact on children's learning. They should also have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching and be eligible to live and work in the EU.
