Star International School Mirdif is a bespoke British Curriculum School situated in the Mirdif Community of Dubai offering EYFS, Primary and Secondary Education. We are looking to appoint a Secondary Teacher of English who has the ability to also deliver Drama/Performing Arts. We seek someone who has the enthusiasm, commitment, and energy needed to work in a rapidly growing and improving school. The role would be from August 2022.

About The Post

Due to the continued expansion of the school, we require an additional Secondary Teacher of English and Drama to join our family at Star International School Mirdif.

Alongside the day to day responsibilities of being a full-time classroom teacher you would be required to:

Required

  • Relevant UK teaching qualifications: minimum of a BEd or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS.
  • Qualified English teacher or Drama teacher with experience of teaching KS3 English.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the latest UK practice and the new National Curriculum of England.
  • Experience of teaching in a British school either internationally or in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Experience in teaching English to KS4/KS5 level.
  • Ability to deliver Drama/Performing Arts to KS2/KS3.


Desirable

  • 2 years of teaching experience - However, strong NQTs will be considered
  • Ability to teach to IGCSE/BTEC Level 2 Drama/Performing Arts

  • Contracts are for two years in the first instance and include:
