ACS (International) Singapore is part of the prestigious ACS family of schools whose proud legacy reaches back to 1886. Opening our doors in 2005, ACS (International) serves both local and international students, with a diverse mix of 30 nationalities. Our students are preparing for IGCSE and IB Diploma qualifications.

ACS (International) is looking for an exceptional person, a qualified secondary Geography / Psychology teacher who has a passion for teaching and is able to motivate students to achieve their full potential. We believe that collaboration and enjoyment is paramount to teaching and learning. Therefore, we are looking to appoint an individual who is a team player, enthusiastic and creative.

The positions begin September 2016.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a qualified Geography / Psychology  teacher;
  • has experience in teaching to senior levels (preferably with IGSCE and/or IBDP experience);
  •  is passionate about teaching and helping students reach their full potential;
  • can work well in a team while contributing ideas and sharing course materials;
  • has the ability to inspire young people from all backgrounds;
  • can prioritise responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment;
  • has a good sense of humour;
  • respects that the school is founded on and adheres to Christian (Methodist) values;

About ACS (International)

ACS International is a mixed, non-selective, Anglo-Chinese, Methodist independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding in Singapore, serving students from the age of 12-18. The secondary school is located in Holland Village. It is owned by the Methodist Church of Singapore, catering for locals and overseas student, welcoming students from over 30 nationalities. 

ACS International was founded in 1886. The school’s building was renovated in 2005, with facilities including a modern sports hall, tennis courts, a nursing station, specialist art rooms, a computer suite and a drama and theatre studio. The school also has a 550 seat canteen, serving Chinese, western, vegetarian and snack food. The school offers an international curriculum in a Singaporean context, with students working towards the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams. Students whose first language is English follow the school’s Mainstream Programme, while those whom English is a Second Language are placed in the Bridging Programme to help enhance their English skills, with the aim of moving into the Mainstream Programme the following year.
