Secondary teacher-Physical Education and French

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Secondary teacher of PE with French to join the School from August 2024, due to the expansion of our Secondary Department. Candidates must be enthusiastic about teaching Secondary years in an inclusive school setting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality teaching and learning in an international setting, creative in their thinking and a student of learning. The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent classroom practitioner.

What do we look for?

The successful applicant for the teaching post will require the following: 

• Good Bachelors Degree 
• Certificated teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent
• Relevant teaching experience in a UK or International setting following the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales 
• Experience of teaching PE in Secondary, with focus on IGCSE and A level.
• Experience of teaching French in Lower Secondary.
• Teaching Lower Secondary Science is valuable.
• Fluent English language 
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the pedagogy of Teaching & Learning 
• Innovative and inspirational practitioner
• High expectations of students and the team
• Experience of using technology to promote learning 
• Professional approach in line with the Teachers’ Standards
• Adaptability of approach
• Experience of writing Schemes of Learning and reacting to curriculum change 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• B or C permit to work and live in Switzerland are desirable.
