Job overview

Computing is a highly successful area of Uxbridge College, running courses from levels 1 to 5 in a number of specialist areas including games development and IT security.  The School of Computing is one of the first in the country to deliver the Digital Production, Design and Development T-Level and plays an integral role in the College’s Institute of Technology initiative, which is largely focused on Higher Education development and delivery. 

 

Reporting to the Head of School for Computing and IT, you would lead the development and management of provision in this section, line manage a team of Lecturers and teach on courses according to your specialism. 


You should possess a relevant degree in Computing/Business, an advanced qualification recognised by the FE sector, and have recent teaching experience in one of the relevant subject areas, including either Project Management, Games Development or Systems Analysis.  You should also have some curriculum co-ordination and development experience (BTEC or Aim Awards) and some experience of managing or supervising a team.
