Uxbridge College is one of the leading providers of Further Education in West London and we were graded as ‘Outstanding’ at our last Ofsted inspection (2008).

The Foundation Studies curriculum is a well-established area of the College. Included in this area is support for full time students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

Reporting to the Head of School for Health, Social Care and Foundation Studies, you would lead the development and management of Foundation Studies provision and line manage academic and support staff in this Section. You would also teach on the work-related curriculum for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, and also support students on our Access to FE Programme.

You should possess a degree and an advanced level teaching qualification, and have recent teaching experience in the Foundation area. You will need to be conversant with current provision for students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities and have a good understanding of Functional Skills. You should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising a team in Further Education or in a similar setting.
