About the Role
The position of Security Operations Team Lead sits within the Information Technology team and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. This is a hands on leadership role; the incumbent will manage the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems risk and security controls to protect the information assets of CECG as well as supporting and developing employees. The role is responsible for managing and maintaining the ICT Security Policy and processes for CECG.

Essential Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or certificates.

Possess Industry Certification for example CISSP, CISM, GIAC, and/or equivalent qualifications.

Proven experience in managing a Security Operations Center or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response, and security technologies.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of modern cyber security threats, tools, and techniques and can effectively apply the concepts.

Demonstrated ability to utilise relevant technology including AI and analytics to detect and respond to identified threats.

Demonstrated skills in the strategic planning and use of information security technologies, such as vulnerability management, authentication, access control, next-generation firewalls, data leakage protection, endpoint protection, SIEM, and relevant cloud security solutions.

Demonstrated skills and experience in resolving information security breaches against appropriate security frameworks, policies, and standards.
