The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11 – 18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

The Royal Hospital School has the following vacancy required to start as soon as possible:

SECURITY PORTER

Working under the direction of the Security Manager within the Operations Department, the Security Porter is part of a four-person team, working on average 37 hours per week over a four week shift cycle, requiring both evening and weekend work, which can be physically demanding. 

Responsibilities include:

• Facilities support for exams, events and other school activities.
• School site security.
• Delivery of mail and other porter duties.

The successful candidate will demonstrate good communication skills, the required level of physical fitness, reliability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
