Mathematics Teacher / Wigan / £90 - £140 per day / September 2018  

Vision for Education is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for an SEMH Special School located with the Wigan LEA. This Mathematics teacher role will start immediately, will be full-time and the candidate will be required to teach Mathematics to examination level.The ideal candidate does not have to possess SEMH experience, however must be dedicated and ready for a challenge. You must be passionate about building relationships with pupils with primarily SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) difficulties, whereby a mainstream setting may have not been appropriate. The school supports children who display Behavioral, Emotional and Social Difficulties. Many have additional learning needs and all are subject to a Statement of Special Educational Needs or EHCP.

To be considered for the position of Science Teacher you must:

  • Hold experience in subject leadership in Mathematics and the ability to offer a second subject is desirable but not essential
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of specialist staff
  • Have a passion for teaching pupils with SEMH needs
