Smart Teachers is working alongside an SEMH Provision that is seeking a Maths Teacher to deliver lessons to GCSE and A-Level learners. The students all have SEMH and behavioural difficulties, but engagement in lessons is particularly high and extra behavioural support is available in every classroom. The prospective Maths Teacher will benefit from huge amounts of professional development and support. The Maths Teacher will be working in a hugely rewarding environment.
About the Role:
- Full time Maths Teacher for students in KS3 – 5
- September 2018 commencement
- Long term role with a view to going permanent
- Teaching students aged 11 to 19 in small classes, with a maximum of 8 learners
- Tailoring / creating work schemes alongside current class teachers to accommodate individual needs

In order to be considered for this role, the SEMH Maths Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / equivalent overseas qualifications
- Have previous experience working in a UK-based setting, ideally with children who have ASD
- Ability to teach across the Maths curriculum
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Possess recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
