We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed teacher preferably with a specialism in Maths whose outstanding classroom skills will contribute towards our expectation that every child has access to an educational experience that is appropriate and inspirational. 

This post is based within the Stephenson Centre to teach students with SEMH issues across Key Stage 3 -4. There may be additional teaching sessions in other subjects. Stephenson Centre is a discreet SEMH provision within Beaumont Hill academy catering for up to 46 students from 11-16.  If you feel you have the ability drive and determination to make a difference to the young people within this good special school (Ofsted 2013), this is an excellent opportunity for a talented and dedicated candidate.

The School benefits from state of the art facilities including interactive whiteboards facilities in every classroom, wireless ICT access throughout, a Learning Resource centre, exceptional performing arts facilities, a television studio, a virtual reality suite, two swimming pools and a number of sensory rooms.

Our school is a specialist provider for children with special educational needs aged 2 - 19. Children who attend this school will usually have a Statement of Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan.We cater for students with complex learning needs, students with autistic spectrum conditions and others with identified social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. 

Beaumont Hill is an exciting and dynamic school in which there are opportunities for every child to succeed in their own way. We are also fortunate to have a team of outdoor education staff who enable our students to access the community, the local area, and residential trips. Sport, music and the arts are an important part of our school. Alongside the curriculum we offer many opportunities for children to take part in lunch and after school clubs such as kayaking, swimming, choir, cookery, sensory and film clubs. 

In Beaumont Hill Academy we want to recognise and celebrate achievement of all types: academic, social skill development, attendance, confidence, communication amongst many others. Here we use praise and encouragement to support our pupils to achieve to their highest possible potential in everything that they do.
